Bhujangasan ( Bhujangasan is a Sanskrit word ) Bhujangasan is a reclining back bending aasan in haltha yoga and modern yoga as exercise. It is commonly performed in a cycle of aasans in Sury Namaskar & salute to the sun as an alternative to urdhva mukhasvanasan(upwards dog pose.
The pose can be entered by the dog from a prone position or down. The palms are placed below the shoulders, the hips are pushed down until they are slightly raised. The feet rest on the ground, the feet spread; The property is directed at tucked away. For the full pose, the back is arched until the arm is straight, and the tuck is directed upwards or slightly backwards. The legs stay on the ground, unlike the dog pose at the top.
